SKITTIE

Skittie, nicknamed after his model name SC-T, is the main character of ArtifiSouls. He is a robot with a timid personality and a kind heart. Confused and disoriented with no memory of his past, we follow him on his journey to uncover his origins. Despite his mechanical nature, Skittie's lively personality and eagerness to explore drives him to venture beyond and find his place in the universe.As he progresses through the story, he realizes that his existence is a product of a mysterious experiment—the transfer of a human soul into an artificial body. The human involved in the experiment was a teenager named Kyle, who was captured upon encountering extraterrestrial technology. As Skittie slowly regains memories of his past human self, he begins to ponder about his identity and purpose.

MD-T2, nicknamed "MD", is a companion of Skittie who was involved in the same mysterious experiment. Unlike Skittie, MD has been able to remember small bits of his past identity. Regret and confusion follow him throughout the story, as MD hadn't meant to rope Skittie into the mess he believed should've been handled on his own.Besides Skittie, MD searches for the truth of what they are and who he was—driven by an unshakable need to atone for his past mistakes. That quiet burden on his shoulders pushes him to be better than whoever he once was. His journey is learning to reconcile with his past human identity, moving on from guilt and into becoming his own being.
